Special Event Showcase: Sponsorship & Fundraising

 Wednesday, May 20, 2009

New York State Nurses Association

Are your sponsorship dollars depleting?

Are you having a difficult time getting registration for your fundraising events?

This economy is forcing both suppliers and planners to come up with new strategies and make difficult choices when it comes to sponsorships and fundraising events. Our Special Event Showcase has been tailored this year to give you tools to make your special events remain successful despite the economy. We have two valuable sessions for you.

First you will hear how a golf tournament can be a source of substantial funding. Suppliers can learn how to get the most out of their sponsorship dollars, while planners will learn the tough questions to ask when evaluating whether or not to host a tournament. If you have never held a tournament before, this session is a terrific first step to determining if this type of event will work for you.

Our second session is titled Sponsorships and Fundraising in Today’s Economy. Are you hitting roadblocks as you try to get sponsors for your events? Have all your “regulars” put limits on or eliminated their sponsorship dollars? This economy is hitting everyone hard. However, there are still places out there that are raising more money that ever and have tips for you!

Attend our event to listen to our panelists:

Jeff Yule – Ronald McDonald House
Linda London – Not-for-Profit Advisor, London & Associates
Heidi Goertz – NYS Office of General Services

Panel to be moderated by

John Giordano with Plaza Meetings/Plaza Travel
